Bilevel therapy provides positive airway pressure that can aid in a person’s breathing capacity. In the community, individuals diagnosed with various conditions can benefit from long term bilevel therapy including: spinal cord injury (SCI), scoliosis, and neuromuscular disorders (NMD) such as muscular dystrophy (MD), spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), poliomyelitis (post-polio), obesity hypoventilation syndrome (OHS) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
