The Technology for Living 2020 Simon Cox Student Design Competition is Cancelled
It is with great disappointment that we have decided to cancel this year’s Simon Cox Student Design Competition May 3rd, 2020 at the Wosk Centre. In the current climate gatherings are limited to 50 people and our students’ classes are no longer running. This means that our student competitors are not able to continue the work on their projects.
The health and well being of our members, supporters, students, volunteers and staff are our first concern. We know that cancelling this year’s competition is the right thing to do. We will be planning the event next year, when we hope the threat of the virus will have passed.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the students for submitting their initial ideas. This is the first year we opened the competition to all academic institutions throughout BC and we had a great response with strong contenders across the BC institutions offering interesting and diverse submissions this year. Thanks to all for the support and interest shown in the Simon Cox Student Design Competition this year.
We wish you all the very best during this uncertain time. We look forward to a great Simon Cox Design Competition in 2021.
